This birthday card was my first time exploring Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Illustrator. It is an extremely simple design, but I am still very happy with it. I always love looking at my first designs in anything I create, as they show me how far I have come in my design journey. Since the birthday is in December, I used a cool, dark blue for the type. The font is fun and bouncy, highlighting the more important information, such as the event's name and the RSVP information. The second font I chose is more rigid and placed in the middle, and states the date, time, and location of the birthday party. I chose a winter theme because I love cold weather and at the time I was making this, I was really missing the cooler seasons, as I currently live somewhere that is warm all year round. A birthday at the ice rink where you can skate and play around with friends sounds like a fun way to celebrate! I think later down the road as I master my skills, I will take this design and upgrade it into something a little more interesting. For now, it stays as a good reminder of where I have started.
